About Me

I am 24 and looking to improve my overall health. I tend to eat my emotions. This has led me to be overweight and given me a fatty liver. I need to get myself fit so I can be around for many many more years to come!

Day 2 of Activate

Well I made it through another day! I am still logging my calories on myfitnesspal as I go along. I find it helps me reflect on my day and I see where I'm lacking/overindulged. I am enjoying the healthier foods on the 17 day diet but have come across two problems.  1. I am not getting enough calories. I aim for at least 1200-1300. I am eating 6 meals a day and I am completely stuffed but not hitting that mark.
2. I am currently in clinical rotation at the hospital on Wednesdays and Thursdays and not sure where I can put my packed lunch. I may be able to find a fridge but def. not a microwave.

I went to the store after school to stack up on some healthy goodies. I did however forget the lemons which I need for my morning drink! I'll have to stop again after school tomorrow. I have been drinking the green tea with my meals. It's not my favorite but I am getting used to it. I sweeten it with purevia.

Current Weight: 155.4 lbs

Day 1 Activate

I am going to be following the guidelines of the 17 day diet. It is not really a "diet" so much as a lifestyle change. The basics are I start each morning with a glass of warm lemon juice, drink 8 glasses of water a day, eat lean meats, lots of veggies, two serving of probiotics, and two servings of fruit. It also suggests drinking a glass of green tea with each meal. I feel this will be the only part I really struggle with. I am hoping I acquire a taste for it.

I have heard quite a few success stories from people following this diet. It is pretty much how I used to eat when I ate healthy. I really need to get back nourishing my body with good food/fuel as opposed to junk.

Starting Weight: 158.2lbs (Yikes!)
